Visit to York

Of course the pictures are all of William, who is beautiful and cuddly and loves a good laugh! He has the most piercing blue eyes ever. My brother and his wife and William, were in York visiting with their friends, so we were invited to take advantage of the considerable shorter journey time to see them! We had a lovely Saturday walking around York, and really enjoyed the weekend... which was over too quickly as usual!

Updated Weigh in News!!!

Forgot to update last week, but just been for weigh in number 11 end of week 11, and have lost another 4.25lbs!! (it was 4.75 last week!) so now the grand total is 45.75 lbs! Or 3 stone 3.75lbs! Woo hoo!!! My consultant is very pleased with the progress which seems to be on track! My trousers nearly fell down last weigh in day after in our local supermarket!!! They have hit the get rid of pile now!

Just also wanted to take this opportunity to say congratulations to Cora and Jim, who are lovely lovely people and I am so happy they have finally found their baby! Really can't wait to see her pretty face!

Dolls House Updates!

Look at how far it's come! Yes it's taken me months but it's finally all assembled, apart from the tiling on the roof and the chimney stack! It's moved from our dining room table for the first time since December and it's now in place, in the living room, fully furnished, papered and carpeted! I'll do some better pics soon when I have the roof done! That's my next job... very exciting! Oh and when I say fully furnished... not really but lots in there, but still tons of teeny bits to get for the future!

My next job, is putting together all the bits I have for my Christmas house, which I haven't shared yet but will soon! I didnt build this one... I bought it off a lovely lady who handmade it especially for me.. but it's lovely and will be a family heirloom for coming years, only coming out in Christmas! I also have another wonderful lady craftswoman making me Mr and Mrs Claus and a couple of elves... watch this space!!!!

William at 8 months!

Beautiful pics straight from his Mum and Dad in Scotland! Isn't he a cutie! Off to see them shortly in York, while they are holidaying, and making it close enough for us to pop and see them for the weekend! Can't wait!!!

I'm a very lucky girl! I've always wanted a beautiful handpieced quilt, and I now have one!!! It's from Etsy, from a lovely lady in Knoxville, and I am just thrilled with it! It's somewhere between the pictures the lady took, and the pic of it on our bed colour wise... I wish it was a tad pinker than in reality, as our room is lilacy although very pale! I just adore it, and sleeping under it the last two nights has been lovely!  I doubt very much if this will be our only quilt! I've always adored having new bedding, and I have my eye on several on Etsy with the living room in mind!!!!! Always nice to have a cosy throw to snuggle under! Will all have to wait until we have some money mind!!! I also have got big plans on changing our old pine chests of drawers again when we have some more dosh! I would love some white shabby chic furniture in our room... yes we have a black iron bed, and I have a mirrored dressing table, but I love white furniture and I think it will fit in with what we have already, given our white doored wardrobes which are part of the structure of the house! 

How much has she changed!!!

Popped to Mums yesterday while G was at work, as she has Ams on Thursdays and I like to squeeze in any time I can with her! Little Love! Mum shot off to collect the children she looks after from school, leaving Nan and I with Amelie asleep upstairs! After the tears, and she had her milk on Nan's lap(my Nan her Granny) she was more than happy to sit and play one on one with the noisiest toys we could find! She's a true sweetie!! 

Lovely Weekend

What a nice weekend it's been. Saturday was my Nan's birthday so we all headed over to my parent's house for late afternoon fun, and lunch for them lot, a nice glass of water for me! The girls were beautiful (these shots actually a couple of weeks back in their house but you get the idea!) My Uncle came up from hastings with his fiancee also so it was a real family gathering. Then today, G and I met Mum and Dad, James (my brother) Karolyn his wife and Scarlett and Amelie above at Bushey Park all with bikes (Ame on the back of my brothers) and we cycled 5 miles around the park, stopping mid way for a drink and a rest in the Woodland Walk with it's new cafe. This is a particularly relevant spot for us, largely because of my lovely Grandad who passed away about 8 years ago. Anyway it was lovely! We sat on the grass in the sun, some with teas or juices, and rested, while Ame climbed on our legs and laughed. Great fun. Then back on the bikes for the last leg of the journey. Ame sang as my brother cycled, and kicked her dad in the bum all the way around! 

Shattered at the end but it was good! Had my heart monitor on and burnt approx 220 calories so thats not bad eh! 

Weigh in Update!!!

Okay so it's now been 8 weeks on the diet, and this week lost another 4.5lbs. Total now of 36.75lbs. This is great cos it means I am over the 2.5 stone mark!

Had a measure up too.. only the second one so far, so here's so more stats!

Lost another 5 inches off waist. Total of 10 inches now off waist!
Lost another 1.5 inches off hips. Total of 5 inches now off hips!
Lost another 0.5 inch off chest. Total of 6 inches now off chest!
Lost another inch off upper arm, and another inch off upper thigh, Total of two inches off each!

So grand total of 25 inches gone (bearing in mind I only measure one arm and one thigh!! hehe I'm not yet lopsided!!) Obviously the mega thing is 10 off the waist! No wonder my trousers are falling down!

Sorry if the stats are boring.. it's nice to keep track on here though for myself!

Moneymaking ideas!

Been trying to come up with some ways to make us some dosh in these tough times and so have spent this evening sorting through books, CDs and DVDs and listing them on Amazon, and then where that was no good, arranging to sell them on a site that just offers a price immediately for the CDs and DVDs! Phew! Its shattering! But hey I'm at home, we live near a post office, so it's a good idea I think!

Going to start going through the rest of the house tomorrow for things to maybe list on ebay!

The fees are pretty high for all these things so it's all about working out if it's worth it!

Anyone got any other ideas to make us millionaires??? (we need to be because I am now addicted to Etsy too!!)

Birthday Wishes

My dear Dad is 61 today! A year ago today we were all crazy throwing him a fantastic surprise fancy dress party with him in starring role as Henry VIII.

Spent a lovely afternoon with him and the family... The girls are beautiful and so happy! Scarlett seems to have shot up in the last couple of weeks since I saw her, and starts Year 1 tomorrow at school! Amelie is now crawling, fast, and standing up herself at furniture!

Update news...

Weigh in for week 7 tonight, lost 2 lbs... not fantastic but then I have sat on my arse virtually all week and had a couple of bread rolls this week too for dinner when I have desp needed them! So it's now up to 32.25lbs.

Onto Job news... the interview in Reading I had two weeks ago, and I had more or less given up hope on, as they hadnt contacted my referees, has now called me back for a second interview. Apparently, it's very close between a couple of us, who all have very different things to bring to the role. So Friday back off to Reading to see if it's me they want! Have applied for another two jobs this week so am hoping something will come up!

Last bit of news is weight related so maybe should have tagged it in above! Hehe! Got a call from the hospital today offering me gastric bypass surgery on 30th October!! At a private hospital. And I said no. I just put it off, saying I couldnt consider until December at the earliest. I didn't go into the details of why. Anyway this was a big thing. It means I have more confidence in myself and my ability to really do this. So on the whole, I guess things are looking up!
