Beautiful Nieces

My Mum's birthday was just over a week ago... I'm a slow blogger I know.. but it was lovely for the girls to be around her, and they certainly enjoyed it! Scarlett and I iced with pink icing a lovely white birthday cake, and covered it in glitter candles and a big sparkly rocket thing! It was great fun and only set off the smoke alarm a little bit! Amelie is not herself so had a few wails.... but everyone else had fun and Mum loved her new bike that we bought her!!!! You're never too old for a birthday bike! 

Election Fever

Oh my goodness, this Election business is doing my head in!!!! It's part of my job (unfortunately) to play a part in canvassing for the Labour Party... and it's driving me insane! Noone tells you how to do your job at the same time! And hitting the streets every day is getting on my wick! I can't wait for Friday for it all to be over!! I've already had a blister on my foot!

Spent last night driving hubby and his cousin around london after a bulls up over a night out with his brother! Tomorrow I'm off to my brothers house for a tea party for my lovely mum's birthday! I did contemplate making a cake... but in the end bought one instead and some icing to pipe her name on it! We'll see how it turns out!
